Made from leather, upholstery foam, walnut veneer, danish cord. After studying traditional upholstery techniques in school, I wanted to showcase the extraordinary compound curved geometry upholstery can achieve. Weaving danish cord through a bentwood frame, I was able to make an upholstered surface inspired by the vaulted ceilings of a gothic cathedral. The leather seat is comfortably straddled by the user.
